• Classroom Architect: Craft a vibrant and engaging learning environment, from schedules and lesson plans to exciting classroom events and smooth transitions.
• Pedagogical Pioneer: Collaborate with your teaching team and education director to develop weekly/monthly pedagogical plans that ignite children’s curiosity.
• Project Guide: Lead project work sessions that spark creativity and critical thinking in your students.
• Documentation Extraordinaire: Design, write, and deliver insightful observational notes, lesson plans, and project folders, contributing to a holistic learning experience.
• Assessment Expert: Periodically assess your students’ progress with formative and summative evaluations, ensuring each child’s development is on track.
• Daily Care Dynamo: Be the welcoming face at drop-off and pick-up, lead captivating circle time sessions, set up engaging provocations, and ensure all aspects of child care are expertly managed.
• Parent Partner: Foster strong connections with parents through individual meetings, providing continuous and specific updates on their child’s educational journey.

Education and Experience:

• Educational Foundation: Associates Degree in early childhood education is a must.
• Professional Experience: One to three years of professional experience in fields like organizing, politics, education, business development, or social services.
• Postsecondary Degree: Preferred, but not required.
• Organizing Skills: Experience in grassroots field organizing, including door-to-door canvassing, political or issue campaigns, or leading a field organizing team, is a plus.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt swiftly to changing priorities.
• Cultural Competency: Strong interpersonal skills and cultural competency, with a capacity to thrive in diverse environments.
• Diverse Backgrounds: Experience working with families from diverse ethnic and class backgrounds.

• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).

Physical Requirements:

• Physical Prowess: Ability to perform required duties, including maneuvering in classrooms and offices, sitting for extended periods while using a computer, and engaging in various physical tasks as needed.

Clearance Requirements:

• Clearance Ready: FBI Fingerprint, Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal Background Check, Health Assessment (with one step PPD), Sex Offender Registry Clearance, and CPR Certification is a plus.
